Gene Autry is the only entertainer with all five stars on Hollywood's Walk of Fame, one each for Radio, Recording, Motion Pictures, Television and Live Performance. He was the silver screen's first singing cowboy and is credited with creating the genre of the musical B Western. Synopsis:
GENE AND CHAMPION GO ON THE WARPATH TO PROTECT THE FIRST AMERICANS AGAINST PALE-FACED RENEGADES!


Opposed by a crooked trading post owner, Gene Autry tries to help neighboring Navajos suffering from malnutrition. When the Navajo chief is found robbed of his priceless turquoise necklace and unconscious, suspicion falls on his next in command, who joins forces with Gene to help the starving tribe. Sheila Ryan, Clayton Moore, Jay Silverheels and Champion, World's Wonder Horse round out the cast in this modern story with Old West thrills. This is the only film in which Gene sings his holiday classic "Here Comes Santa Claus (Right Down Santa Claus Lane)."

Synopsis:

As a "doctor on horseback," Gene Autry returns to the frontier town where his father was murdered and finds a feud raging between mine owner Jayda McQueen and cattleman Bowie French. Gene tries to steer clear of the feud, but things get complicated when a boy mysteriously dies and McQueen comes gunning for the doctor. In addition to trusty steed Champion, this film stars Pat Buttram, Elaine Riley, Donna Martell, and Denver Pyle plus Gene sings his Easter hit "Peter Cottontail."

Gene Autry, star of a singing show with the Cass County Boys billed as "Gene Autry and his Texas Rangers," is mistaken for a real Ranger in the tough town of Mountain City. Gene soon swings into action to help Jen Larrabee, the owner of a toll road who is having trouble with the local doctor and a gambler who both want Jen to relinquish her property, which contains valuable mica deposits. Smiley Burnette, Gail Davis, Shelia Ryan and Champion are featured in this musical western.
